Gustavo Kuerten, Magnus Norman, Tim Henman, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Todd Martin, Nicolas Lapentti, Tommy Haas, Francisco Clavet, Alex Corretja, Federico  Luzzi, Fernando  Vincente,  Albert  Costa and Cedric Pioline were the participants of the  4th edition of the Tennis Day For Africa in Rome on May 6, 2001. The event was carried out with the support of the Tennis Master Series Rome 2001 and ATP.

The charity day  took place at Due Ponti Sporting Club, a modern sport complex with 15 tennis courts located not far from the tournament site.  During the event the staff of Tennis for Africa has received autographed items from the players for  the charity auctions on Internet. The fundraising is organized for supporting our humanitarian projects in Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau

Martina Hingis, Tathiana Garbin, Martina Navratilova, Magdalena Maleeva, and Hanke Huber were the participants of the  second section  of the Tennis Day For Africa in Rome on May 13, 2001. The event was carried out for the first time with Wta players. Unespected participation of Lleyton Hewitt who played one hour with his coach before his departure to Hamburg.
