Born in Gotenburg - Sweden in October 21, 1965, Jonas Svensson enjoied his best ranking between 1987 - 1991. He won 5 tournaments: 1986 Cologne; 1987 Vienna; 1988 Metz; 1990 Toulouse; 1991 Copenhagen; He was finalist in 1986 Stuttgard, London Indoor;1987 Stockholm; 1988 Munich, London Indoor; 1990 Rotterdam; 1991 Stuttgart indoor; 1993 Zaragoza, Kuala Lampur. In Grand Slam Tournament he reached the QF of Australian Open in 1989 (defeating  Boris Becker 76 64 63 in round 16...) and in 1990 reached the R16 loosing by Stefan Edberg 62 62 64. In 1988 reached the Semifinals of French Open ( d. Kent Carlsson in R16, Ivan Lendl in QF and loosing by Henri Leconte in SM. In 1990 reached the Semifinals for the second time ( d. Guillermo Perez Roldan in R16, Leconte in QF and loosing by Agassi in SM 61 64 36 63. In U.S. Open reached the R16 in 1987 loosing by Stefan Edberg 62 76 63.
