KABALA: THE PROPOSAL FOR A NEW TWIN PARTNERSHIP

Tennis
for Africa is currently supporting two primary schools and the
City of Rest, a centre that looks after children having drug
related problems. Tennis for Africa is also the sponsor of the
annual National Lawn Tennis Tournament. the Association primary goal
is to give the less than fortunate opportunities they could use
for recreation and leisure. The primary schools have also asked
us to send them learning materials, for which Tennis for Africa
is currently seeking contributions (Books from nursery to year
6); Tennis for Africa has recently purchased two Personal
Computers.
CITY OF
REST PROJECT
AIM:
To bring deliverance
through the gospel message to drug addicts, abandoned and stray
delinquent youths in the capital and its immediate
environs.
WHAT COR DOES:
The CITY OF REST is a
special Drug Rehabilitation project of the Deliverance ministry. It
serves as a COUNSELLING AND REHABILITATION Centre for drug addicts,
alcoholics and delinquent youths. The centre seeks to give purpose
and hope to young people who are troubled by a life filled with
torment and hopelessness. The Ministry uses prayers as primary
therapeutical measures in dealing with its patients. It uses other
methods such as counselling, Bible study, and detoxification as part
of their rehabilitation process. CITY OF REST is a Christian
institution founded on Christian principles.
WHAT THEY
NEED:
- Support inmates and staff projects
- Get
the patients involved in
- Blacksmith Welding projects -
Woodwork and Carpentry Projects - Pottery and Shoe making
projects - Tailoring and hair dressing projects
- They are
in urgent need for the following
. Single-bed mattresses .
Bathing soap . Toothpastes . Clothes, trainners, Slippers etc
(anything to wear)
